Letters - Pacific View Retreat |

| We appreciate the doors
that Pacific View has opened up for Brandon, myself
and our family. Brandon started a new journey in
his life when I dropped him off at Pacific View.
It was clearly no accident that he ended up there.
But the journey wasn’t only for Brandon, but
for myself and my husband. Thank you from the bottom
of my heart for allowing us the opportunity of attending
the seminars. My life was out of control to the
point I wasn’t sure if I wanted to live or
die. Now I want to live life to its fullest. Thank
you Pacific View for being such a great support

my husband and to Brandon. I am truly blessed to
have you all in my life. Thank you for your greatness,
you truly do make a difference in the world we live
in.

Pacific View is saving
my son’s life. There are not enough words
to say thank you. I am glad to be preparing for
his graduation instead of his funeral.

| I will never know
how to thank the Staff at Pacific View for having
the insight to provide a program for those over
the age of 18. You see, my son went to Pacific
View at age 22 not feeling good about himself,
failing in the goals he wanted for himself and
really in a downward spiral. He had been to see
psychiatrists and psychologists, but other than
substance abuse programs or medications for depression,
there are no places for these young adults to
go to get the help they need. Whern I speak of
help, it is not about drugs or depression or

school.
Although these may be the exhibiting factors causing
us, as parents, concern, they need to start feeling
good about themselves. They need to learn to love
themselves and how to, in a positive way, attain
their goals. Well, Pacific View certainly concentrates
on this. The change in my son’s outlook on
life, insight into himself and life, has literally
given him a positive future. His relationship with
his family is absolutely wonderful and although
he was always communicative, unfortunately he was
not always truthful. Now, there is not only communication
and love, but honesty as well. From our hearts,
we thank all the wonderful and dedicated staff at
Pacific View.

My son, Jon, graduated from Pacific View on Mother's
Day. He was in the Program a total of 19 months
with the last 9 being at Pacific View. I feel the
time he spent in the program after he was 18, at
PV, was key to his growth as an adult. It was his
decision to be there and work for his future rather
than working to please others.I am delighted with
the communication we have and the manner in which
Jon approaches challenges and life. He is enrolled
in college and works part-time but places family
and recovery first. Family members have seen the
change in Jon. He uses the tools from the program
daily as a |
guide. The Program has been a gift
to us both. We have a network of loving, supportive
friends including the staff at Cross Creek and Pacific
View and a new start in life. We look forward to
staffing seminars and continuing our committment
together. I personally want to thank Pacific View
for their committment to families.
