Our
Daughter Christina at 15 years old was headed down
a difficult path. We finally realized she needed
more help than we could provide ourselves. Her attitude
and actions toward life were rapidly changing in
front of our eyes. She needed life coping skills
to deal with peer pressure, image, self esteem,
and integrity. I sent for information from over
100 schools. The best match was a school in Mexico
called Casa By the Sea. It was a long distance from
where we live but I knew it was the place for Christina.
When we arrived at the school the staff was so caring
and loving towards her. She has been there for 8
months and we have seen our daughter turn herself
around 180 degrees. She is getting the tools she
needs to cope in life and will be successful in
life thanks to the wonderful and caring staff at
Casa by the Sea.

Defiant. Failing in school. Heavy
metal music.
Self-indulgent. Middle of the night disappearances.
Angry silence punctuated with blinding rage. Locking
our bedroom door at night in fear. This was the
story of our lives some two years ago. We found
the Program at a time when our family was at its
absolute rock-bottom, lowest point. These good people
accepted us just as we were - ’bleeding, broken,
and war-torn’. In an amazing way that was
both loving and tender, yet firm and no-nonsense,
they provided us with a couple of keys: |
First, a safe, non-judgmental environment
in which we could ‘let it all out’.
Second, we were offered tools for us to use in making
healthy choices for ourselves and our relationships,
wonderful tools to get us on the road to family
health and keep us moving forward. Casa by the Sea
is unique in its commitment to healing the entire
family rather than just intervening with the teen
in crisis. This School helped my son in a way that
I was incapable of doing. Would I do it again? In
a heartbeat.

| “Where do
I start? Where can I find the kind of help my
daughter so desperately needs?” I was appalled
to find out that her school counselors, law enforcement,
our minister, family therapist not one of them
had an answer or direction for me. My daughter’s
life was at stake. After much time, research,
and many phone calls I found Casa by the Sea.
I was overwhelmed with relief in knowing I’d
finally found “The One” I was so desperately
looking for. I can’t help but tell people
about this wonderful Program. It not only saved
our daughter’s life but taught me how to
save my own as well. Thanks to the Program, our
family is whole and healthy once again.

Our
family was slowly falling apart. David was failing
school, didn’t care about anything or anyone,
had lots of anger and could not be trusted. We
had no hesitation in sending him to Casa by the
Sea. As the months progressed, David did to. David
was very proud of himself in doing so well in
his new school and for learning so many things.
He was beginning to feel very good physically
since they were exercising a lot each day. After
attending the seminars, we have learned so much
about ourselves and now have tools to use to communicate
more effectively with other. David is now a happy,
healthy young man who feels very confident and
secure in himself. We are forever grateful to
Casa by the Sea and how much they have been a
powerful influence on our lives.
