Impressed with the quality of the workforce in India they decided to start an outsourcing company that caters to the needs of the USA market. Within a year it was apparent that the small office that they had would not allow for the expansion that was needed.

In 2001 they purchased the top floor of Mayfair Towers II and started to design a state of the art technology facility. The Mayfair Tower facility opened in August of 2002. With over 5000 square feet and the ability to staff over 300 IT professionals, Techspeed is positioned to assist USA companies increase their ROI through outsourcing a variety of projects.

Today Techspeed employs over 50 IT professionals with a diverse set of skills. Over the years, we have worked with many companies in a variety of industries and have developed a solid set of standards to assure a successful client relationship.

FOUNDERS

The founders of Techspeed Inc., Richard and Rekha Plainfield, have strong backgrounds in business management, finance, marketing and technology development. Richard Plainfield is acting Director of the Board and oversees the departments of marketing and hardware R&D. Rekha Plainfield is acting Chief Executive Officer and President, with oversight of the departments of software R&D, HR, Operations and finance.

Rekha Plainfield : Chief Executive Officer & President

Educational Background:
Four years of college; graduated with Bachelor of Commerce with top honors. Diploma in taxation law. Certified tax preparer, State of Oregon. Completed course work and is proficient in Dbase and HTML, as well as graphic design software, Photo Shop, Quark and the Adobe line of graphic software.

Professional Background:
Served as a tax consultant at H&R Block before joining Plainfield’s Place Ltd., where she still serves as a director and as Chief Financial Officer. Co-founded Plainfield Software, providing business software solutions for the hospitality industry. Developed the POS, accounting, inventory and payroll software that was the first totally integrated program for restaurant management in the mid 1980's. Developed and patented GuestBook software. Rekha is a respected marketing consultant, providing marketing strategies and implementation of database marketing programs to numerous clients throughout the United States. She has 25 years of experience in designing and managing complex software projects and has designed and implemented extensive Web sites, online applications, intranet data bases, and large scale data management projects. Rekha is CEO and President of Techspeed a global IT company. Rekha Takes a hands on approach to managing her company and projects. Working with her staff at the India office and the sales staff at the Portland, Oregon office, she takes a personal interest in all projects. She is available to her staff as well as clients traveling between offices every 30 days. Clients are assured to get the personal attention they deserve.

Richard Plainfield: Director

Educational Background:
Three years of college, majoring in Architecture. In 1975, received a grant from the State of Washington to write a book on the relocation of the town of North Bonneville. Published in the spring of 1975. Spent the next year on sabbatical in India researching the urban planning of ancient Indian Civilizations. Completed technical course in computer science focusing on hardware systems.

Professional Background:
Co-founded and is President of Plainfield’s Place Ltd., an Oregon Corporation, in 1977. Co-founded Plainfield Software and is currently acting President. Co-developed and implemented business software with a special emphasis on hardware systems. Designed and built custom kiosk systems for Plainfield and received design patents for kiosk system designs. Fourteen years of experience in designing and building computer systems to support custom software products. Excels in hardware phone support and troubleshooting techniques. Since 1992, Richard has headed sales and marketing for Plainfield Software, as well as hardware R&D developing hardware prototypes, testing and implementing. Richard became director of sales and marketing for Techspeed Inc. Portland Oregon in 2002 and has been the driving force in expanding Techspeed into a global company.
