Candidate Leads in Early Polls
In a poll recently conducted by the Oregon AFL-CIO, candidate showed an early lead in the campaign with 42% of those surveyed. The first opponent came in at 31%, followed by the second opponent at 6%. 21% were undecided.
Key group unanimously endorses candidate for Office

In a rousing appearance before the Community on August 20th, candidate electrified the audience with passionate personal stories that demonstrated his unswerving commitment to justice, equality and opportunity for all Oregonians. Immediately after his departure, candidate received the unanimous endorsement of this group, which includes a broad cross-section of Portland's vibrant community leaders. Former City Commissioner chair of the group's Political Strategy Committee, voiced the sentiment of many in saying, "This candidate has always been there for me, he's always been there for us. Now it's our turn to be there for him."
